Emilie Franklin Stanley

Emilie F. Stanley, 80, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Emilie was born December 16, 1934 in Atlanta to the late Otis and Margaret Hunt Franklin, and moved to Savannah in the early 1960’s. She worked in the automotive industry as a receptionist for many years, lastly for Chatham Parkway Toyota. She was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church. Emilie was a three time breast cancer survivor, and volunteered with The American Red Cross. She is preceded in death by not only her parents, but her husband James Q. Stanley Jr., son Michael Stanley, sister Marjorie Maddox, and brother William W. Franklin.

She is survived by her daughter in law Lynn Knoedler of Bailey, Colorado, grandchildren Erin Stanley of Rochester, Michigan, and Mike Stanley of Gainesville, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 23 from 11am-12pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

Graveside Services will follow at 1pm at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
