

James “Mack” Madison moody, 58, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was employed by the US Army Corp of Engineers for 29 years. The Chatham County native graduated from Hershel V. Jenkins High School in 1971 and graduated from Savannah Vocational Technical School where he studied drafting. He was an avid hunter who loved deer and turkey hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James M. Moody, Sr. and Jaycee P. Mixon, and his stepfather Robert S. Mixon. Survivors include his wife of 36 1/2 years, Janet M. Moody; daughter Lindsay Brianne; sisters Debra (Debi) M. Lanier (Ricky), Robin Crosby, and Sherri Bieber; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and Robert “Corky” Cail, his best friend of 42 years.
Visitation will be Thursday September 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel on Hodgson Memorial Drive. Service will be Friday, September 9th at 11:00 am at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
