

Margaret Gean Glynn Aliffi, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015 at her home after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Joseph Glynn; her mother, Frances Gregory Glynn Poole; a sister, Mary Parker (Arthur), and one infant sibling.
Margaret leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, Ottavio (Otto), Sr.; four sons, Octavio Aliffi, Jr., (Betsy) of Marietta, GA, Patrick Aliffi of Guyton, GA, Joseph Aliffi (Lisa) of Sylvania, GA, Christopher Aliffi (Krista) of Savannah, GA; four daughters, Toni Marie Kirkland (Tom) of Milton, GA, Regina Aliffi Scott of Atlantic Beach, FL. Grace Ray (Kyle) of Brooklet, GA, and Margaret-Mary Jordan (Michael) of Guyton, GA; Two sisters, Patricia (Skee) Black (Roger, deceased), Lucy Wickstead (Tony); two step-sisters, Joan Bacott (Robert) and Becky Poole; 19 grandchildren, Bruce and Rosco Scott, Nicole Barry and Tommy Kirkland; Jeremy Vesely and Margaret Truslow; Nicholas, Christopher, Megan and Margot Aliffi; Tyler, Courtney and Katelyn Aliffi; Devin and Haylie Forehand and Sage Jordan; Madelyn and Gabrielle Aliffi; Noah Aliffi; two step-grandchildren, Austin and Shelby, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Margaret was born and raised in Richmond Hill, GA. She attended and graduated from Richmond Hill Schools. She retired from the practice of Joseph Edwards, Sr., MD.
Margaret dedicated her life to her family. A devout Catholic, she was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Family members wish to extend their gratitude to all of those who cared for Margaret during her illness.
Visitation: Sunday, May 17, 2015, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00am, Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, with Monsignor William O’Neil officiating, with burial in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Reception to follow burial at the Parish Hall, 222 E. Harris St. (Old Notre Dame School), Savannah, GA.
