Margaret West

She was born Dec 29, 1920 in Savannah, Ga., the youngest daughter of Meyers H. Porter and Matilda S. Porter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. West and a sister.

She lived in Savannah most of her life, except the periods during her employment with the U.S. Public Health Service hospital in Texas and Washington, D.C.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Savannah, Ga., and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a member of Smart Senior and Generation One in Savannah, Ga.

She is survived by a stepson, David M. West (Ann), of Savannah, Ga; a step daughter Susan W. Cowden (Robert) of Brunswick, four granddaughters and seven great granddaughters.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Graveside Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in Bonaventure Cemetery.
