Marjorie Mae Johnson

Marjorie Sherrod Johnson, 83, of Savannah Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 after suffering from a long illness. She loved her job at the Howard Johnson Restaurant, where she was the Manager for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Oceanside Nursing Home and Savannah Beach Nursing Home for the wonderful care they took of Ms. Johnson during the this time in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jesse Ray Johnson, her parents Harvey and Lula Sherrod, and her sister Mary Rich. She is survived by daughters Terri Lynn Gilliam (Billy), Karen Jan Jones (Darrell) and son Michael Ray Johnson ; Sisters, Lillian Hodges (Edward), Louise Barker, Janie Perkins, Johnnie Canady (Pete); Brother, Bobby Sherrod, grandchildren; Amy Smart ( Jerry), Jessica Dovich, Matthew Jones; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1 hr. prior to the service on Thursday, December 4th. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Thursday at Fairhaven Funeral Home Chapel in Savannah, GA with Pastor David Laughner officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah GA.
