
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd J. Street, and a sister, Harriett McGraw-Albertson.
Mary Jen was born and raised in Bismarck, ND and moved to Fripp Island, SC in 1985 from Bethesda, MD. She was a volunteer Swimming and Water Safety instructor with the American Red Cross for many years. She was a Roman Catholic and was one of the founding members of the St. Jane de Chantel Parish in Bethesda, MD in1950 and also founding member of St. Bartholomew, Parish also in Bethesda, MD, in 1959. In recent years she attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Savannah, GA
Our mother lived a full life as a wife, mother, swimming instructor /athlete, coach, friend and confidant, and everyone’s grandmother. We would like to thank everyone who helped our mother in her last illness, especially the kind ladies of Hospice.
She is survived by two sons; Kevin J. Street, (Marta), Kelly J. Street (Pricilla), one daughter, Coreen Marie Street Taylor, six grandchildren, 5 great-grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis Nelson officiating.
Burial to follow at 2:00p.m. in the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
