Richard William Sorber

He was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and had lived in the Savannah, GA area for the past 25 years. He was a veteran, having retired from the U. S. Air Force, and was a member of American Legion Post # 184 in Thunderbolt, Ga.

He was employed by Ryder Trucking Company, and was a member of the Cresthill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Arnold Truitt, of Savannah, GA; 5 stepchildren, Jimmy, Chad, Tina, Donna and Monica; a brother, Ron Sorber, sister, Becky, several grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406, with Rev. Ken Jernigan, officiating.
