Thelma Cowart Brunson Beasley, 92, of Savannah, GA. died Saturday October 22, 2011 at Spanish Oaks Retreat/Hospice. She was born in Leefield, Ga. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple where she was a member of the Chapel Bible Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and a buyer for women’s apparel, at Belk from 1964 – 1969. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Paul Solomon Brunson, Jr. and J. Carl Beasley; parents, Nathaniel and Nellie Cowart; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 3 daughters, Glenda Young (Robert) of Atlanta, Ga., Paula Mobley (Michael) of Savannah, Ga., Ann Hodges (Lloyd) of Savannah, Ga.; 1 son, Johnnie C. Beasley (Karen) of Savannah, GA. ; 1 sister, Ruth Ellen Brown of Statesboro, GA.; 1 sister-in-law, Linda Cowart; grandchildren, Kelly Mobley Kahley, Leigh Mobley Bowen(Jeff), Heather Young Brandon (Jeff), Jason Mobley (Jennifer), Alan Young (Katia), Marianne Hodges Fischer (Ed) and Fred Hodges (Becky): 12 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Temple or Spanish Oaks Retreat/Hospice. Visitation: 10:00 am Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Temple with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am. Rev. Bob Dimmitt officiating.
