Mr. William "Billy" Daniel Shepard Jr.

William Daniel Shepard, Jr. (Billy), 86, of Savannah, GA entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Hospice House of Savannah with his loving family by his side. Billy was born in Tennille, GA; the only son of loving parents Mr. and Mrs. William Daniel Shepard, Sr. Billy moved to Savannah with his parents as a young boy. Billy attended Georgia Military College and he served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea, U.S. Army in WWII and GA Air National Guard. Billy retired from Union Camp after 41 years of service as a master welder. He was a skilled craftsman and gardener. Billy met and married the love of his life Bea Halford and together raised 3 wonderful children. Billy’s greatest gift to all of us was being the most loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his sons, William D. Shepard, III, Randy Dean Shepard, wife, Donna, daughter Brenda Kaye Shepard Bryan, (Sandy) husband Shuler Bryan. Grandchildren William Daniel Shepard, IVand wife Amber, Dawn Willhoit, husband Chip, Shelley Fox, husband Jim, Sherrin Evans, husband Isaac, and Tyler Shepard; great-grandchildren, Ariel Wilhoit, and Genevieve Shepard. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel from 5 until 7 pm. Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Bonaventure Cemetery at 11:00 am.
