William "Billy" Walter Towns

William (Billy) Walter Towns, 74, died after a long illness under Hospice care on September 2nd, 2011. He was a native of Savannah, Ga. life time member of the Fenian Society, retired Millwright/Taxi driver & a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. Surviving are 3 daughters, Carla Ayala of Savannah, Donna Towns of Augusta, and Michelle Usry of Augusta; brother-In law Charles Morris of Florida; Honorary sister Marian Berry of Savannah, 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great-grand children and many nieces & nephews. He will be received by family and friends Wednesday September 7, 2011 6 - 8pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 8, 2011 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church with Father David Koetter officiating. Interment to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
