

He was born in Savannah, Ga., Sept. 27, 1922 and was a lifelong resident. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He founded M & M Motors, Inc., and was owner – operator for over thirty years until his retirement. He was a graduate of Savannah High School, and served in the U. S. Navy, during World War II, and was a member of various clubs and associations. He was a former member of Reformation Lutheran Church until it closed, and then united with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Wright and Lawrence Mannion, his loving wife of 64 years, Marie Connie NeSmith Mannion, and his son William Thomas Mannion.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Spillane (Charles); and Sandra Mannion Kent; a son, Larry L. Mannion, Sr., (Maxine); six grandchildren, Rob Ashley Hayner, Jennifer Knights, Chris Kent, Larry Mannion, Jr., Thomas Mannion, and Mary Mannion; 4 great grandchildren, Gavin Finif, Breanna Finif, Lucy Mannion, and Larry Mannion, III.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension, with Pastor Jack Ohsiek, officiating.
Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
