

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Thaggard and Mattie Holiday Thaggard.
He was born in Dublin, Ga., and was married to Betty Gattis Thaggard for 56 years.
He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, during World War II.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple, and the Chapel Sunday School Class. He was a huge supporter of Calvary Day School Football – Basketball Teams, and he loved to tell stories about Pigeye.
He was retired from Thompson Automotive Company.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Gattis Thaggard, Savannah, GA; 2 daughters, Donna Thaggard of Savannah, GA; and Linda T. Niblett (Joe) of Coral Springs, Fla; sister, Ruby Knight (M.L.) of Rentz, GA, and 3 grandsons, Brendon, Jonathan, and Mark.
Visitation: 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Temple.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Temple, in the Sanctuary, with Rev. Kenny Grant and Rev. Derward Poole, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Steve Knight, Paul Knight, Steve Edenfield, Brendon Niblett, Jonathan Niblett, and Mark Niblett.
Mr. Thaggard will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Saturday to lie in state.
