Arthur grew up in Toronto, where he married his high school sweetheart, Audrey (nee McCandlish). He worked in retail positions for 20 years before starting a career at IBM. After 26 years of stellar service he retired.
Arthur will be remembered by his family as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Lily, and by his sister, Gwendolyn. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; his children, Leslie, and Catherine Mitchell (Barry); his granddaughter, Erin Harrison; and his great grandchildren, Chase and Lily. Arthur is also survived by nieces and nephews, Gail Davis, Nancy Robb, Donna Nunn, Vera Miehm, Judy Hyde, Ruth Ann Atkinson, and Charles Carmichael.
Outside of his working life, Arthur was a friend to many. He will be fondly remembered for all the assistance he provided to the Curtain Call Players as well as the church activities at Glen Rhodes United Church. He was always a courteous gentleman, soft spoken, and very sharply dressed.
