Joseph Norman Gallagher
In loving memory of Joseph “Joe” Gallagher who passed away suddenly in Toronto on Friday November 1st, 2019 at the of 58 yrs. Joe is survived by his sisters Diana Roy (Steve Pettafor) and Georgia Gallagher (Beckie Scarrow) and good friend Florence Speer. He was predeceased by his parents Lorraine (nee Hughes) and Joseph Gallagher and by his brother Donald Gallagher and by his sister Nancy McDonald. He also leaves behind nieces, Stephanie & Brittany and nephew, Joey, as well many friends from Spencer House. Joe was born on April 18, 1961 and was raised in Toronto. As a lad, he enjoyed making his family laugh - always joking around and doing funny things. He worked many jobs over the years, from newspaper routes, stock clerk at a local pharmacy, bus boy at the prestigious “Arcadian Court”, as well as construction work. Joe faced many challenges throughout his life but once managed he lived a simple, quiet life. Joe was always the first person to help out at Spencer House and was generous with his fellow roommates. Joe passed away from complications of Stage IV Lymphoma. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery.  Many thanks for the kind, compassionate and respectful care from the Doctor’s, nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto.  Special thanks to the Chaplain who administered Last Rites, readings and reflection after Joe passed.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Shepherd, Scott Mission, Yonge St. Mission, Fred Victor, Salvation Army or any homeless shelter of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.  I will miss you brother, until we meet again, Rest In Peace.

Rest In Peace Joey. I will miss the brother you were when you were well. You have suffered so, and can now rest. Peace.
