Leila Annabel (Bresee) Jackson

Born May 27th, 1925 in Westport, daughter of Ogle and Margaret Bresee, passed away peacefully on November 2nd, 2024 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry, Ontario.

Survived by her sisters Jean Kelly-Thurston (Bresee), of Ottawa and Beverly Stinson of Waterloo. Predeceased by sisters Doris Stinson, and Marion Barker (Bresee).

Leila lived a full and rewarding life in Toronto as an RN, but never forgot her Westport roots. Leila loved to share her love, memories and stories with her family who have been faithfully vacationing there for over 35 years.

Leila is survived by her family – her children Stuart, Catherine, Margaret, Paul; grandchildren Jason, Sean, Cortney, Samantha, Kimberley, Kyle, Rebecca, Brandon and her great grandchildren, Oakley, Oliver and Rody.

Visitation for Leila will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8. Funeral will be held at St Jude’s Church, Wexford in Scarborough on November 16th, 2024 at 12pm. The service will be live streamed at www.stjudewexford.ca . There will also be a tribute to Leila’s life at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Westport on November 17th, refreshments and snacks served after church service.
