Rozalija Vida

Rozalija was predeceased by her husband Josef and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Klari Lapajne (Borut), Joseph Vida (Shirley), Grandchildren Gregory Lapajne (Debbie), Kirsten Vida-Hall, (Roshane), Monica Lapajne (Ian), Christopher Vida, Eric Lapajne (Sandra), Madeline, Great-Grandchildren Connor, Dallus, Kelly, Michael, Isabelle, Ethan and Emily.

Rozalija (Mama) left Slovenia and came to Canada to make a better life for her family. She proved that no challenge was too great to overcome and was very strong willed. She loved being outdoors and spending time in her garden. She spent many wonderful days at her property on Lake Simcoe, enjoying sunsets, campfires and watching her loving family grow. Everyone that met Mama fell in love with her and was always given a hug or a blessing from her. The love she showed her family will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rozalija’s name to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Due to the COVID guidelines guests are required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. Proof of vaccination is required. Masks or face coverings are required indoors. 50 people will be permitted in the room at a time. Guests will be required to reserve a 45 minute time block upon entering the funeral home. You can reserve a spot please email [email protected] . Upon reserving a time block to the visitation guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Visitation will be held at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home between 4:00 P.M and 9:00 P.M.
