She was predeceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Evans. Sally is survived by her dedicated longtime partner Darrin McArthur, daughter Laura-Lee Vaughan (David) as well as three sons Patrick Corcoran, Daniel Corcoran and Timothy Corcoran. She also leaves behind grandchildren Christopher Helm (Chelsea) and Colette Clarke (Stuart) and her great-grandchildren Sawyer, Pearce, Sadie and Brooks. Sally also leaves behind many cousins, extended family and friends.
Sally was born in Montreal and adopted at a very young age by Howard and Lena Evans (nee Coliatti) (both deceased). She grew up in what is now Thunder Bay, spent some time in Winnipeg and then moved with the family to Toronto. She always felt she had a privileged childhood and was treated like a princess. She always spoke fondly of her many close relationships with her cousins, particularly the McLoughlin and Parsons families.
She married Leo Corcoran in 1965 and they raised their four children in East York (City of Toronto). Sally worked at various jobs namely in accounting/bookkeeping holding many positions over the years while raising her family. She was most fond of time spent with the kids at their cabin in Warkworth while they were growing up in the seventies and eighties.
In the nineties, Sally settled in Guildwood where she spent the latter three decades. She was involved with Guildwood Softball and enjoyed many vacations ranging from various road trips to much time spent at the condo in Tampa, resorts in Punta Cana and guest houses in the Bahamas. She made numerous trips out to British Columbia where she made lifelong memories with her cherished Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Sally had a fondness for the Vaughan family cottage in Balm Beach and was a regular visitor during the summer months. She was extremely close to her children and continued meaningful relationships with her cousins and extended family.
In the latter few years Sally had experienced medical complications and ongoing loss of mobility as her inoperable heart condition worsened. We would like to thank the Drs. and Staff of Michael Garron Hospital and the Palliative Care unit of Providence Healthcare for their commitment and dedication to Sally’s care over the last 5 months.
