

Ana is survived by her husband Enrique Ortega; sister Louisa Sillou; brother Heriberto “Eddie” Burgos; children Cynthia Holloway, Elizabeth Waisonovitz, Brenda Way and husband Stephen C. Way; grandson Stephen James Way, sister-in-law Maria Burgos, niece Nova Ramos, nephews Hector Burgos and Jorlui Sillau, grandnieces/ grandnephews Jessica, Paul Anthony, Josiah, Jade, Alexandra, Emanuel and great grandnephew Mason and friends.
Ana is preceded in death by her mother Ramona Burgos and her brother Hector Burgos.
Ana was born in Puerto Rico on August 2, 1937. She moved to New York as a child. Attended high school in New York and additional courses at the Fashion Institute. Where her love of sewing began.
Ana retired from the US Postal Service where she worked for over 20 years. She enjoyed sunbathing, soaking in the pool, vacationing, music and dancing. Ana also enjoyed cooking for family, going out to restaurants, and loved spending time with her daughters. She loved her role as Grandma to her beloved grandson Stevie.
We love you and will miss you. You will be forever in our hearts. Thank you for always loving and guiding us. Your memory will live in us all forever.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00am January 26 at Church of the Sacred Heart 10 Lawton Avenue Hartsdale, New York 10530. Fr. Moon of the Church of the Sacred Heart. Burial will follow the funeral at St Raymond Cemetery 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465. Visitation will be held at Edwin L Bennett Funeral Home 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583 private family only 3:00pm – 4:00pm open to all from 4:00pm – 7:00pm Thursday, January 25.
