She was 72 years old. Mrs. Nichols was born on September 15, 1938 in New York, NY
to Chris and Margo Perivolas Orphanides Mrs. Nichols graduated from Boston University and later received her master’s degree from NYU University in Social Work.
She worked as a school teacher at JFK High School in Riverdale and later at Brandies High School in Manhattan. Mrs. Nichols retired in 1980. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband Alexis and her two daughters Sonia and Christina Nichols, also surviving are her two grandsons Alex and Nick Visnius. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her brother Dimi Orphanides. Visitation Friday 5-9 PM. Funeral Services to be held Saturday 9:30AM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 10 Mill Road New Rochelle New York 10804. Interment Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye NY. In lieu of flowers donations to the Debbie Nichols Foundation 25 Hutchinson Ave, Scarsdale NY 10583. This charities mission will continue Debbie’s life of helping children of need.
