

Donghee is survived by her son Kevin N. Kim; daughter Caroline Kim Oh and her husband Dr. Chong Oh; grandchildren Noah Oh and Lucie Oh; brothers Dong Gun Han and Dong Il Han; sister Jin Hee Han and their spouses and children; and many other family and friends.
Donghee was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Il Young Han and Jin Joo Park. She was formerly married to the late Ryusoon Kim.
Donghee was born in Seoul, Korea on August 19, 1949. She graduated from Kyunggi Girls’ High School and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Ewha Womans University.
Donghee worked as an administrator at Nyack College for many years. She had an impressive knowledge of classical music and held a 2,236-day streak on Duolingo, a language learning app, in French. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Donghee was a devout Christian and an active member of The Korean Central Church of New York.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes. Rev. James Chun of The Korean Central Church of New York will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Calvary Fund (Calvary Hospital) or The Korean Central Church of New York.
