Elaine Ferrara

Elaine Ferrara, age 79, of Eastchester, New York passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Elaine was born on May 1, 1944 in the Bronx NY to the late Thomas and Pauline Tamilio Dapolito. Elaine married her late husband Joseph on May 7, 1966 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale.

Elaine was a Eastchester High School Monitor for over thirty five years retiring in 2015. Elaine was known by the students at Eastchester High School as "SPIKE" do to her short spike hair, she was also an assistant

cheerleading coach for many years. Elaine is survived by her daughter Deborah (Phil), her son Joseph (Amanda) Ferrara and her grandson Jaeger Ferrara. Also surving is her sister Annette DiCarlo and her nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces.

A visitation for Elaine will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, New York 10583. A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Rd, Scarsdale, New York 10583. A committal service will occur Monday, January 22, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, New York 10530.
