Frank C. Greco

Frank Greco (Cheech) of New Rochelle, New York, passed away peacefully with family at his side on December 12, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on February 1, 1942, to Salvatore and Rose Greco. He married Adelaide Franco on August 29, 1964 where they began a beautiful life together.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He proudly served the New York City Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant after a distinguished career. His dedication to service and protection exuded in all that he was and all that he did for his family and those he loved.

His stout devotion to his family was on full display after 9/11 when he lost his son-in-law, Alex. He dedicated his days where he was supposed to be retired to support his daughter and help raise his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved children Stefanie and Michael, and son-in-law Carmine. Frank was a proud grandfather (Poppop) to Stephen (and his wife, Samantha), Julia (and her husband, Mike), and Gianna. And while their time together was short, he was a deeply cherished great grandfather to Michael.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adelaide. His family is comforted knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with her once again.

Frank will be remembered for his strength, his faith, his stories, his booming laugh, and most importantly his devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A visitation will be held at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, located at 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583, on Monday December 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Rd, Scarsdale, NY 10583, on Tuesday December 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

The committal service will be conducted at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530, on December 16, 2025, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am.
