Thinking of you today Ginger… love to your family

Ginger cut my hair for several years,  through a tough time when my  disabled son was going through depression and mental illness.  She was a beautiful spirit who made each person she worked with feel special.  When my son recovered and was able to live more independently, she understood our joy!  We laughed together when I told her we celebrated his recovery together at the Rye Roadhouse, a place she had also enjoyed many times.  We will toast her, whenever we visit there in future.

When she closed her shop, she graciously offered to continue to cut my hair in her home.  But, when I knew I would return to work I could not take her up on her gracious offer.  I work with very young children and I worried that I would expose her, needlessly, to infection.

We will pray for her and her entire family.  I will always remember her warmth, her kindness and her sense of fun.

A life well lived dear Ginger.  Wife, mother, business woman, artist, role model. The world is dimmer today because you are not in it.  Thoughts and prayers Tony, Danielle, Marcelle and the grands.  Moppy loved you all fiercely!

Ginger first cut my hair 41 years ago and up to recently when the cutting had to stop but conversation continued, albeit without, “What are we doing today?” 

She made you feel special. She made you feel comfortable. She shared her many highs and some of her lows. And boy did she love her family.  Not in phony for public consumption way; but in a real way. Their highs were her highs. Their pain was her pain. She was honest, direct and yet diplomatic, resilient, funny and fun. 

She was as close to ageless as anyone I’ve ever known. When I first met her, I was stuck by her outward beauty. That never went away but it was almost immediately overtaken by her inner beauty.  

When I heard she passed away, I had that same broken feeling in my heart as when you lose a close member of the family; particularly when you feel they were taken away from you way too soon.  I can only imagine how her family is feeling now; especially the grandchildren who meant the world to her. My deep and sincere condolences to each and every one of you. 

May her memory be for blessing.

I will remember Ginger as such a lovely person… a fashionable dresser.. especially her shoes! 
And the heart and soul she put into her work… especially my granddaughters First Communion hair style!!
The love Ginger had for her family, especially her grandchildren was special… and I’ll miss seeing her beautiful posts of her home and all her delicious meals and cakes she made!

I knew Ginger for many years through her salon.  She loved her family - travel - cooking and doing hair!     She had a special personality and energy and I am grateful to have known her.   My deepest sympathies go out to her family at this time.  

Beautiful Ginger you are gone too soon.  I have many memories that span over the last 50 years at least. One fondest memory was dinner at the "attic" with you, Tony, Carol &Phil.  Lots of laughs at family parties and we shared many glasses of procecco! Of course my monthly trips to your salon for many years! I'm having a hard time believing you are gone  from this world but I know you are at peace now & out of pain & suffering &for that I am happy.  My heart breaks for Tony & your children &  grandchildren. May they find comfort in their many memories.  Rest in peace   Gin.
