Josephine J. Assumma passed away on September 28, 2017 at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut. She was 95 years old. Josephine was born on January 7, 1922 in Eastchester NY to Demetrio and Giovanna Constantino Assumma. Josephine was a hairdresser for 66 years and was the owner of the Scarsdale Hair Stylist for many years located on Brook Street in Eastchester. She is survived by her loving sisters Pauline Spatafore and Mary Assumma. Josephine is predeceased by her Sisters Jennie Swetz and Sarah Assumma and brothers Dominick, Frank, Peter and Daniel Assumma. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 9:30AM Immaculate Conception Church Tuckahoe. Interment Holy Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday October 2, 2017 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rosary Hill Home 600 Linda Ave Hawthorne New York 10532 in Josephine’s name preferred.
