LARCH, Judy Christine, died on January 19, 2019 at Park Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bronx, New York. One of three daughters of William Arthur Larch and Beverly Klanjac Larch, Judy was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 1, 1959. Judy attended Fairmont East High School in Kettering, Ohio and was a student choreographer for most of the musicals while also performing in Camelot and Oklahoma. She was an officer on the drill team, in the high school singing group, the Falconnaires and on the speech team participating in competitions in poetry and dramatic readings. Judy attended Miami University in Oxford, OH and received her BS in Retailing in 1981. She was the social chairman for her sorority, Pi Beta Phi and was in the modern dance company. Larch had a love of fashion and started her Retail career in Dallas at Federated Department Stores. She soon moved to San Francisco where she began a long and successful career at Macy’s becoming an accomplished Retail Planning Executive living and working in San Francisco, Hawaii and lastly New York City. Judy’s heart and joy were her two daughters and her love of dogs and profound respect for the sacrifices our military make made her an active, passionate volunteer and fundraiser for The Wounded Warrior Project and Companion for Heroes and other nonprofits.
Larch is preceded in death by her parents, William and Beverly Larch. She is survived by her daughters, Gabrielle and Amanda Larch, and her sisters and their spouses, Sara Larch and Richard Smith, Rita and Bob Farrell and her nephews, Justin and Joshua Johnson.
The family will receive visitors from 9-11am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY and the funeral services will follow at 11-11:30 am at the same location. Following the service, interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, NY.
