I met Kathy near the end of her life, and am very glad I did. I'm sure she must have been still very much herself, even as she got sicker, and I enjoyed the humor, irony, and courage with which she faced her situation. I wish I'd been able to know her longer.

Dear Kathy, you will be sadly missed on the Upper Eastside and the Hamptons. Say "hello" to Colonel Bill up there.  Where will be get our cashmere sweaters?  Kathy, always in my prayers -- may she rest in peace!  Sincere condolences to the Silleck family.

Kathy's kind and loving spirit will always be remembered.  I felt like Kathy was my sister and she will always be in my heart.  Kathy's generosity and love of life will live on.  Rest in peace, my dear girlfriend.  joanie

So sorry to hear this.  Kathy was a very good friend when we were growing up and spent every summer on LI. I thought of her, and her family often when many of us did not routinely come to LI anymore. My condolences to Bayley, Gordon, and Tommy.  Joanne

I was in kindergarten at The Day School in 1975-6 and I remember Miss Silleck.  I recently found a yearbook with her picture.  She was a kind woman.  As a parent I now know she is exactly the type of teacher you want for your child.  My deepest sympathies to her family.

"Kaki" was my mother's  best friend from childhood and a frequent visitor to my childhood home. She always made me feel special. RIP Kaki and give Mom a hug for me.

Kathy was a great big cousin to me.  Even though she was 10 years older, she always made me feel like one of the gang out at "the point."  I know she will be missed by all of you.  My thoughts are with you Bayley, Gordon and Tommy.   Aloha,  Randi.
