

Orlando “Ola” De Jesus was 55 years old, peacefully passed away at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, on January 13, 2024. After 5 years and 9 months of battling with stage four lung cancer. After praising God in the hospital, he passed away and was called up to be with God.
He was born on September 21st, 1968, to Felix De Jesus and Felicita Guzman, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. They lived in Sabana Seca, Toa Baja, Puerto Rico until he was eight years old. They then moved to the Bronx in New York. He lived in the Bronx with his mother and three siblings: Brunilda, Felix, and Luis De Jesus.
After graduating from high school, he started working at Hudson Carpet, where he entered the carpet industry. In 1992 Orlando along with four other partners started Carpet Fabrication International. Orlando worked until 2021, three years after his diagnosis.
In November 2011, Orlando married Jocelyn De Jesus. He has three children: Orlando Ethan, who is 27 years old, and two daughters, Ruth who is 10 years old, and Rebekah who is 8 years old.
He is survived by his family which includes his wife, children, mother, sister, two brothers, and ten nieces and nephews. Among his nieces and nephews were Joshua along with his two children, Javin and Caleb; Felicia and her daughter, Liana; Caitlin and her two sons, Ezra and Micah; and lastly, Deborah and Daniela.
He lived his life happily and to the fullest. He was a man after God's heart, always seeking righteousness and correcting others when necessary, according to the Bible. He was a strong man who never complained, even in his final days when he claimed to be fine all the time. He always made jokes and laughed, bringing a smile to everyone he met. He will always be loved and remembered for the impact and legacy he has left behind.
