Roger Englander

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Roger personally, but I am a close friend of his son Robert. Bobby always spoke of his Dad in such warm and glowing terms it's as if I had actually known him. I know Bobby is only a part of Roger's legacy, but it is a very special part (like father, like son). My deepest condolences to the whole Englander family for the loss of such a dear and beloved man.

We were heartbroken to hear of Roger's passing. We remember his smile, his kind and open demeanor and his keen sense of humor. Although we have lived away from the area for many years, our memories of Roger will never fade. We send heartfelt condolences and much love to Simone and the entire family.

I hadn't the pleasure of knowing Roger but I was fortunate enough to coach his son John on the Scarsdale basketball team. John was always a pleasure to work with and I have fond memories of our time together.

My heartfelt condolences to John and the rest of the Englander Family.
