Walter G. Hobson Sr. 91, of Scarsdale passed away March 9, 2017. He was born December 27, 1925 in Pelham Manor NY to the late Benjamin and Marion Ferrier Hobson. Walter graduated from Edison High School in Mount Vernon and worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Stoffel Seals in Tuckahoe for many years before his retirement. He was an active member of the Eastchester Senior Citizens Club. Walter was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1944 to 1946.
Walter is predeceased by his wife Dorothy and is survived by his children Walter Jr. (Chris) of Hopewell Junction, Richard of Lake Forest, CA, Deborah (Mike) LiCalzi of Eastchester and grandchildren Jason, Christina, Doug, Michael and Marissa.
Family and Friends may visit Sunday March 12, 2017 from 3 – 7pm at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes. A chapel service will be held at 10AM Monday March 13, 2017 at the funeral home . Interment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Eastchester Senior Center 660 White Plains Road Eastchester NY 10709 preferred.
