Abram E Zimmerman

Abram E. Zimmerman, 85, formerly of Myerstown, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata. He was the husband of the late Gracetta Sensenig Zimmerman. He was born in Earl Township, Lancaster County on July 13, 1932, a son of the late George N. and Mary Ella Martin Zimmerman. Abram worked on the farm his whole life and was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. He is survived by children, Irene wife of Glenn Weaver of Ephrata; Sylvia wife of Aaron Nolt of Mohnton; Elmer husband of Betty Weaver Zimmerman of Lititz; Glen husband of Judy Hursh Zimmerman of Myerstown; Nelson Zimmerman of Lebanon; Dale husband of Janet Zimmerman Zimmerman of Myerstown; 25 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; brother, Ammon Zimmerman of New Holland; sister, Anna Lauver of Ephrata; sister-in-law, Verna Zimmerman of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Paul, Amos, and Titus Zimmerman; sisters, Martha Weaver, Mary Martin and Esther Zimmerman. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 9:30 am in Fairview Mennonite Church, 111 Elco Drive, Myerstown, PA. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
