Lester N. Berger, Jr., 84, of Schaefferstown, died on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Gloria Dove Berger. He was born in Rehrersburg, Berks County on May 27, 1937, a son of the late Lester N. Berger, Sr. and Irene Werner Berger. Lester was a retired foreman with 45 years of service at United Plastics in Manheim. He was a member of the Heidelberg Sportsman Club and Millcreek Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting at his family camp in Sullivan County. He is survived by sons, Jeffrey Berger and Michael Berger both of Schaefferstown; Jeremy Berger of Lebanon; daughters, Judy Berger-Warfel and husband Scott of Tower City; Wanda Berger of Mt. Aetna; Debra Gaylor and husband Jeffrey of Lebanon; Dianne Berger and fiance’ Ed Castetter of Schaefferstown; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Heckman of Hamburg; Mary Rick of Annville; brothers, Harvey Berger of Myerstown; David Berger and wife Sheryl of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Salem, Emma Ballester; Esther Espenshade and Janet Fry; brothers, Thomas Berger and Ricky Berger. Viewing will be on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown. At the family’s request, please wear masks during the viewing time.
