Rachel Lena Noecker Eberly

Rachel Lena Eberly, 74, of Myerstown, died Friday, October 24, 2014 from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Jackson Township. She was the wife of Mark B. Eberly with whom she was married to for 56 years. She was born in Auburn, Schuylkill County on January 16, 1940, a daughter of the late William and Cora Yeich Noecker. Rachel was currently employed at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Lebanon. She was a member of the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, Myerstown. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, sewing and walking. Rachel faithfully loved and served her Lord, which gave her the strength to care for her husband, Mark, and be a blessing to others. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, M. Dale Eberly and wife Ann L. of Bernville; Steven N. Eberly and wife Marie E. of Richland; Donald A. Eberly and wife Ella F. of Myerstown; Thomas D. Eberly and wife Dana M. of Lebanon; fourteen grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Deibert, Mary Leymister and Betty Frantz; brothers, Daniel Noecker, Sr. and Thomas Noecker. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Leymister; brothers, Moses Noecker, Samuel Noecker, Sr., Paul Noecker, Sr. and James Noecker, Sr. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, East Reistville Road, Myerstown, PA. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM and also on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM, ALL AT THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 2211 E. Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. is handling her arrangements.
