Sherry Jean Hammer

Sherry Jean Hammer, 75, of Newmanstown, PA, passed away in her home on Monday, February 29, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Ammon H. Hammer. She was born in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County on July 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Bughter Keppley. Sherry was a garment factory employee working for Binner Mills in Quentin; Gloray Knitting Mills of Robesonia and Richland Knitting Mills. She enjoyed cooking and catering events. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sherry is survived by sons, Richard Randler, Jr. and wife Deanne of Richland; Robert Randler and wife Robin of Richland; grandchildren, Lee Randler, Travis Randler, Tyler Randler, Haley Randler and Macey Randler; great grandchildren, Kirsten Randler and Parker Randler; brothers, Clarence Keppley, Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Newmanstown; Henry Keppley and wife Carole of Newmanstown. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11 AM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown with a viewing beginning on Friday at 9 AM. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown Cemetery.
