Albert A. Matty

Albert A. Matty – 95, passed away on the morning of June 1, 2022. He was the beloved spouse of the late William T. Bonomi with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Albert was a longtime resident of the Washington Square Area of Brookline.

Born in Mount Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late George and Anna (Godoscick) Matty. Albert was the youngest of nine children having four sisters and four brothers who all predeceased him. He leaves, in addition, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews all of whom he dearly loved.

Albert joined the U.S. Army at the age of 19 during World War II serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Special thanks to the employees and staff of the Carlysle of Windsor Place, Wilmington who were especially attentive to Albert’s final needs.

A Graveside service will be performed by Rev. Judith B. Arnold at Union Cemetery Scituate, MA on Saturday, June 25 at 11 AM. Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend. Reception to follow.
