

Amanda Gail Flannery, 32, residing in Edgewater, Florida, former longtime resident of Scituate passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on December 11th, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of Susan Elliot Whitfield of Edgewater, Florida and the late James Paul Flannery, Jr.
Born in 1990, she was a 2008 graduate of Scituate High School and went on to study Dance Management at Hofstra University. She was a long-time manager of Marylou’s Coffee in Scituate and Cohasset, as well as Victoria’s in Cohasset. She was an avid fan of the Patriots and Bruins as well as the Alabama football team, Roll Tide.
Her beautiful soul was kissed by the ocean where you would often find her soaking in the sun and living the salt life. Her two basset hounds Brady and Jolene were her entire world. She was a certified Yoga Instructor that loved helping people reach their fitness dreams and aspirations. Her loving and caring group of friends were dear to her and she selflessly would do anything for them. Her beautiful soul will never be replaced.
She was the loving sister of Zackary J. Flannery of Rockland, Kristan and Daniel Cortinas of Gotha, Florida and Stacy Whitfield of Pembroke.
She is also survived by Dianne Jillett of Malden, Peter and Peggy Whitfield of Auburndale, Florida, Scott and Lisa Whitfield of Scottsdale, Arizona, Scott Becker of Port Orange, Florida, Rebecca and Christopher Jason of Deltona, Florida, Michael Gateley of Pembroke, Krisaniel Cortinas of Gotha, Florida, Alexis Whitfield of Pembroke, Tyler Whitfield of Pembroke, Vanessa Cooper of Middleboro and Sean Jason of Deltona, Florida.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church, 660 Country Way, Scituate. Relatives and friends are invited to join together immediately following services at The Tinker’s Son, 707 Main Street, Norwell to share stories and celebrate Amanda’s life.
