Annette Marie Dwyer

DWYER, Annette Marie (Drew) – lifelong Scituate resident, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2016 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Gerard T. Dwyer with whom she shared nearly 55 years of marriage.

Devoted mother of Judith Ferrera of Mansfield, Charlotte Doherty of Scituate, Patricia Sunnerberg and her husband Stephen of Scituate, Maureen Ellis and her husband Randall of St. Augustine, FL and Caroline Gorman and her husband Christopher of Pembroke. She also leaves her dear friend and “6th daughter,” Lisa Holcombe of Marshfield. She was the cherished “Nana Cupie” to 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ever the animal lover, Annette was a passionate participant in the rescue and care of greyhounds. One of her favorite pastimes was her annual trip to the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga, NY to see the horseraces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. Mary's Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate at 10AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Following the funeral mass, she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Cudworth Cemetery.
