DUFFEY, Colleen—54, of Scituate passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, Christopher and Alexandra, and her sister, Cathy Michaud and two brothers, Chris and Brian Duffey. She was a loving sister in law to Tricia Duffey, Kate Anderson and Norman Michaud. She was the best aunt in the whole world to her nieces Erin, Molly, Bridget, and Teagan Duffey and her nephews Tommy, Matthew, Aidan and Cullen.
Colleen was blessed to have attended her daughter’s wedding on Mother’s Day and felt pride and joy at the union of Mike Noonan and his family into hers. Christopher‘s girlfriend, Colleen Curran, has also been a tremendous support to the family.
Colleen is preceded in death by her loving parents, Marguerite (Peggy) Walsh-Duffey, and her father, Robert (Bob) Duffey, and her brother Robert (Bobby) Duffey.
Colleen’s passion was anything involving her family and the sun. She hosted many a family reunion including all of the Walsh’s from Baltimore to Massachusetts.
The extended Duffey family remains close and supportive in the Scituate area.
Colleen loved her friends and she loved Scituate. Being on her deck and getting a friendly wave and an update on the lives of those around her was all she needed to make her happy.
Many friends and relatives came to see Colleen through her illness, and she enjoyed their visits. She remembered each person and recounted events of long ago with everyone.
She was a long-time loyal employee of Eaton Vance of Boston, and her work friends were like family to her. Her friend Cindy remained her close friend for 25 years and remained by her side throughout Colleen's final days. Her work colleagues’ continual support and friendship has meant a tremendous amount to the family.
