
Constance Reed (Bailey) Zweifel, 72, of Kingston, Massachusetts, formerly of Scituate, Massachusetts, and Glens Falls, New York, passed away Monday,September 10, at her home. Constance grew up in Scituate, graduated from
the University of Michigan, and went on to teach music in the Glens Falls City Schools for over 30 years. Music and drama were life-long passions for her in high school, college, while teaching, and continuing on when she
retired to the South Shore. She could often be seen performing with local professional ensembles on the trombone, euphonium, piano, and in the percussion section. She also donated her time and love of singing, acting,and directing to local theatre groups, as well as nursing and retirement homes.
She is survived by her son Frederick Feza Zweifel and daughter-in-law Heather (Shotts) Zweifel of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; her son Evan R. Zweifel and daughter-in-law Kelly (Bowman) Zweifel, granddaughter Bailey E. Zweifel,and grandson Spencer F. Zweifel, of Fort Collins, Colorado; and her brother Frederic T. Bailey II and sister-in-law Christine (Bradshaw) Bailey, niece Hannah B. Bailey, and nephew Noah B. Bailey of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Her family and friends are invited to the memorial service and reception on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 4 P.M. at the United Church of Christ Norwell, 460 Main Street, Norwell, Massachusetts. There are no visiting hours and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in support of one her favorite activities, Tuba Christmas.
