Deborah A Donovan

Donovan, Deborah Anne- Age 61, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Mary (Faherty) Dalton and the late John Dalton Jr. Loving mother of Meaghan Kelly and her husband Tom of Norton. Devoted grandmother of Thomas and Mary Kelly and soon to arrive grandson. Beloved sister to Susan Cassidy and her husband Jim of South Weymouth and the late John Dalton III. Cherished aunt to Jimmy Cassidy and his wife Nicole and great-aunt to Nora and Isla Cassidy; aunt to Colleen Reilley and her husband Zack.

Debbie attended Archbishop Williams High School class of 1979 before completing her Bachelors Degree at Salve Regina College in 1983, prior to her retirement she worked for many years in both the Weymouth and Scituate Public Schools.

Debbie adored the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, she also enjoyed going to the beach, reading a good book, crocheting and competing with her family on game shows from the comfort of her own living room. Those that loved Debbie will always remember her ability to overcome any challenge with dedication and composure.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 16, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday February 17, 2023 at 10am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (www.myotonic.org).
