Dorothy "Dottie" Cabozzi

Age 74 of Pembroke, formerly of Scituate passed away after a brief illness. Dottie was a 1970 graduate of Scituate High School. She met the love of her life George Cabozzi in 1968 and were married in 1970 and started their family soon thereafter.

Dottie was a tireless worker who for many years was the Activities Director at Lifecare Center of the South Shore. Nothing was more important to Dottie than family.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Lydon. She was especially close with her granddaughters Julia and Kendra Ritcey and her nephew Scott McFarland. She is survived by her husband of 55 years George Cabozzi, her son Michael, daughter Jennifer and her partner Derek Olson. She is also survived by her siblings Helen, Patricia, Margaret, Kevin, Daniel, Mark, Francis and predeceased by Stephen, Joseph, John, Mary, Michael, Thomas, and William.

A visitation will take place on Sunday November 16, 2025 from 3-6pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A funeral mass will be held on Monday November 17, 2025 at 10am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate.
