Ellen M Swider

Ellen was a graduate of Mass College of Art and was an avid gardener and painter. She was a member of the Historical Society of Early American Decorators. She adored her family trips to Newfound Lake, NH and Bristol, NH. Ellen travelled all over Europe, several times, including travelling with Elderhostel, biking her way through France and Holland.

Beloved wife of the late Edward F. Swider. Devoted mother of Chris Swider and his wife Jodi, Cindy Swider, Timothy J. Swider all of Scituate, Tina Murphy and her husband Bill of Barrington, NH and Edward “Ted” Swider of E. Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Brian and his wife Heather, Samantha, Caitlin, Stephanie, Melissa and Michael. Loving sister of Jackie Leary of W. Roxbury. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate from 4PM to 8PM on Wednesday, October 23rd. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, October 24th at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate at 10AM. Burial in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate.
