

Gail M. (Fisher) Paton – 54, of Marshfield Hills, formerly of Scituate passed away of breast cancer on September 26, 2015 at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of William C. Paton, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage.
She was the devoted mother of Meredith C. Paton, Emily F. Paton and Andrew C. Paton of Marshfield Hills.
Dear sister of Mary E. Fisher of Cohasset, James F. Fisher & his wife Silvia of Fort Riley, KS and Maureen Fisher of Scituate.
Born in East Providence, RI, she was the daughter of M. Carol (Kirby) Fisher of Scituate and the late James J. Fisher.
Loving aunt of Jessi, Ron, Dave, Jimmy, Alison, Jack and Catherine, with whom she was especially close and many having been graduates of Auntie Gee Camp.
Gail devoted her entire life to the love and education of children. She worked for 17 years as a teacher in the Quincy Public Schools and later for 13 years as a Special Education teacher in the Norwell Public Schools. She was a 1984 graduate of Lesley University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and later her Master’s Degree with a focus on computers in education. She will be missed most of all for her big smile, her sense of humor and her genuine love of children.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, SCITUATE on Friday Oct. 2nd from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate on Saturday Oct. 3rd at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gail’s memory may be made to Mass General Cancer Center, c/o Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
