

John B. Stearns Jr. passed away on Monday, October 24th in his home after a short illness. He was born in Worcester on August 31st, 1969. He lived in Auburn all of his life before moving to Spencer. John graduated from St. Peter Marion High School and Nichols College where he excelled in baseball. John owned B & J Welding in Auburn for many years before branching out to work in construction. He was very skilled at making bed frames, coffee tables, wine racks and dog bowl stands for family and friends.
John loved sports, especially the Steelers and the Red Sox. He was always up to date with the latest sports stats and enjoyed talking about them with his friends. John was gifted with a great sense of humor and loved to make those around him laugh. He also enjoyed reminiscing about the humorous events that occurred when he traveled to Greece with many of his close friends. He adored animals, especially his Fur Babies.
John leaves his wife of 25 years, Kerry (Doyle) Stearns. He is predeceased by his father, John B. Stearns Sr., his mother Shirley (Simpson) Stearns, and his sister, Mary Stearns Roy. He leaves a nephew, Andrew Roy, a niece, Veronica Roy, and many close friends and relatives. John was loved by so many people and will be sorely missed.
Per John’s wishes, there are no funeral arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 1pm at Russo Italian Restaurant, 65 Water Street Worcester, Massachusetts. All who loved John are welcome to attend and share fond remembrances.
