Born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, he was the son of Norman M. and
Gertrude (Frey) Jeannero. He received his BA from Antioch College, but in
the middle of his college studies, he enlisted in the army where he was
stationed for 2 years in Germany. He then went on to receive his MA and
Ph.D from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
He served as a Foreign Service Officer, stationed in Guadalajara, Mexico.
He later taught for many years as a Professor of Economics at Bentley
University.
He retired Professor Emeritus in his 60’s to enjoy many things in life such
as traveling with his wife, attending concerts and the theater, gardening
and socializing with people, one of his greatest joys. He was also devoted
to his pets, and was a “father” to a great succession of dearly loved dogs
and cats.
He is survived by Rosemary (Donnelly) Jeannero, his beloved wife of 58
years, daughter Lisa Jeannero and her husband Jeff Baust of Hingham
MA, and son Andrew Jeannero and his partner Megan Bates of Roslindale
MA, as well as his adored dog, Abby.
Visting hours will be held at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA from 10-12 on Friday, June 25, 2021 with a funeral home service at 12:30, with a reception to follow.
