Meredith Hickey

Meri was born in Weymouth and raised in Rockland by Zulima and Clifford Elliott. She was, the second of seven, and the last surviving of the Elliott children.

Meri is survived by her four sons; Jack, Kevin and his wife Rheta (Lowery), Tim and his wife Maryellen (Salvo) and Brian, along with her seven grandchildren; Adam, Michael, Ellen (Michaels), Erin (Spinney), Glee (Rodgers) and Jackson, as well as her ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Meri enjoyed the outdoors, loved gardening and spending time at the beach. She was an avid reader. Most recently, she could be found riding her bike twice a day while wintering in Florida. Meri was always there to give a smile and waitressed for over 50 years, finally retiring at the age of 90.

There will be no wake. A private burial service will take place on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Bourne National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband John. A celebration of her life will follow at Mia Regazza of Marshfield where friends and relatives are welcome to join the family starting at 12:30 pm.
