Paul was born on May 15, 1967, to Peter and Suzanne Spillane in Scituate MA. He was one of six and went on to become the Chef/Owner of Fox Grape Catering.
Paul is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his husband of 27 years Brent Henry and two dogs Stella and Dejo; his siblings, Peter (Jeanne) Spillane, Mary (John) Dawson, Sean (Janice) Spillane, Mark (Louise) Spillane; his nephews, Matthew (Lauren) Spillane, Brian (Ashleigh) Spillane, Andrew (Tori) Dawson, Christopher (Nikoleta) Dawson, Jeffrey Dawson, Liam Spillane, Kevin Spillane, Michael Spillane, Stephen (Bean) Spillane and his great nieces/nephews, Natalia, Violet, Olivia, Evie, Callen and Murphy.
Paul loved life (and lived it to the fullest). His laugh was infectious and could brighten any situation. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Paul saw the world differently, finding beauty in the most unexpected places and things. His creativity could really be experienced if you were lucky enough to taste his food. When he wasn’t in the kitchen you would find Paul working on a home project, walking the dogs in Fogg Forest, or just stomping and dancing around the kitchen island.
A quote by one of Paul’s favorite philosophers, Nietzsche, sums him up:
“One must give value to their existence by behaving as if one’s very existence were a work of art.”
In lieu of flowers, we welcome a donation in Paul’s name to the Human Rights Campaign at https://www.hrc.org/ or to the Harris/Walz Victory Fund at https://victoryfund.org/lgbtq-leaders-respond-to-tim-walzs-nomination-as-kamala-harriss-vp/
