Robert E. Grant

Born in Brighton on July 20, 1934 to the late Edward and Agnes (Keohane) Grant of Newton, Bob attended Our Lady Help of Christian School where played sports and cultivated friendships that lasted his lifetime.

After serving his country during the Korean War, Bob returned to Newton and married Eileen “Snookie” Donaghy and began his career in retail management with Filene’s, Jordan Marsh, Van Heusen and BVD. Bob’s career moved the family up and down the east coast until settling in Scituate in 1975.

Devoted father of Douglas Grant of North Hampton, MA, Kenneth Grant and his wife Andrea of Marshfield, Robert Grant of Scituate and the late Susan Grant. Loving brother of the late Judith Sullivan. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Annie, Ryan, Connor, Casey, Ethan and Hunter. Brother in law of Russel Sullivan. Uncle of Janet Smith, Willie Amendola and the late Joanie Wilber, Russ Sullivan and Scott Sullivan. Dear friend of Shirley Larkin of Whitman.

Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate on Wednesday Nov. 11th at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday Nov. 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
