
Stuart was born in Clifton, NJ on Aug. 6, 1920, to Wallace and Agnes (Tyrrell) Walker. During WWII he served in the Coast Guard in the Pacific landing soldiers and equipment on occupied islands. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree of Mechanical Engineer with high honors. He worked for Kewauee Scientific Corporation as a salesman for many years before starting his own company Walker Lab Equipment Corporation. Active in the community Stuart served on the school board and was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader enjoying books on history and biographies. Stuart was a long time Patriots and Red Sox fan and loved playing golf and poker with his friends.
He was predeceased by his sisters Aileen Conkling and Doris McKeon.
Members of his family include his loving children, Andrew Walker of Hull, Tracy Wyman and her spouse David Wyman of Goffstown, NH, Matthew Walker and his partner Rita Brown of Methuen and his daughter-in-law Cindy Walker of Marshfield. Also nine grandchildren including Jonathan, Benjamin, John-Adrian, Christian, Douglas, Margaret, Austin, Kyle, and Patricia. Great-grandchildren including Brendan, Gavin, Emily, Sarah and Shawn and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 19th from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., Dec. 20th in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate at 10AM followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
