Virginia C Hansell

Ginny was born in Melrose, Massachusetts. She moved to Scituate as a child and attended Scituate schools. She attended Simmons College before transferring to Boston University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and went on to attain her Masters plus 30.

Ginny taught business at Hanover and Hingham High Schools.

Ginny loved the beach, gardening and golf. She was truly devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ginny was predeceased by her loving husband of more than 55 years Paul Hansell. She was the loving mother of Robert and his wife Catherine of Marietta, GA; Paul and his wife Laine of Marshfield, MA; Stephen and his wife Janice of Rio Rancho, NM; Virginia Dudek and her husband Douglas of Laurel, MD; Elizabeth Johnsen and her husband David of Manchester, NH; Christine Darmetko and her husband Michael of Scituate, MA.

Ginny is also survived by her grandchildren Brooke, Ryan, Chelsea, Austin, Alexandra, Courtney, Robert, Gregory, Christopher, Alex and Paul. Her great grandchildren are Aiden, Brody, Emmalynn, Jackson, Logan, Callen, Pearson, Finn, Seamus, Anne, and Harvey.

Sister of Sheila Travers and her late husband Jim of Scituate, Yvonne Frates and her husband Norm of Woodstock, VT and the late Bob Mongeau and his wife Maureen.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor, MA at 10am. Visiting hours will be held at Richardson Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA, Wednesday November 28, 2018 from 4-8 p.m.
