Bill was the devoted and cherished husband of 31 years to Marisa (Anacleto).
He was the son of the late William Blakeman and Marie Lucas. Bill was born in New York and raised in Cohasset. He graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and received his masters license in 1991. He worked on various ships over his 20+ career and traveled all over the world. His passion for the ocean continued below the surface as an avid scuba diver.
He is survived by his loving children, Karina, Kimberly, Alyssa and William IV all of Scituate; beloved brother of Daniel of Cocoa Beach, Fla. He was the proud and cherished Papa B to Noah, Landen and Phillip. Also survived by 3 wonderful nieces.
A visitation service will be held Tuesday, April 14, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthonys Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset. Burial will be private.
